Custom pathfinder in my mobile games
Hello My Friends
I'm working on a custom pathfinder for my upcoming mobile game. What do you think? I know it won't find the shortest paths, but it might not have to take as many steps, and the main thing was to make its movement realistic, not require a lot of computation in most cases, and to make it look relatively alive (I'll use it for the "brains" of NPCs and mobs).
Since the game space is voxel-based, I thought I'd extend the pathfinder, which currently works in 2D, with an extra dimension. Do you think it's worth the extra computation or not?
This is how it currently works, as you can see in the picture.
